Golly Gee this week has been eventful in good and not so good ways. On Wednesday we had a crazy day. Everyone was getting sick or not feeling well. Eventually I got sick as well and next thing you know ya boy has COVID.
So, after I got COVID the majority of the time I was in a hotel-looking room for 5 days. I mainly slept a ton. On Thanksgiving Day, we had a devotional where Elder Quentin L. Cook came and spoke. A big plus was that he and his wife after the devotional came by the windows of those who were sick and waved at us so that was super cool.
It was definitely a hardship to have COVID while in the MTC but while I was sick, I just tried to pray for others as much as I could and try to think of others as much as possible. It's easy for us as humans to turn inwards during times like that but as I've been a missionary at the MTC I've been trying to be more selfless even when I myself get sick. I'm grateful for this trial because it has helped humble me.
It worked out in the end, so I know the Lord blesses us when we have faith and put our trust in him. I know he wants us to love others as that is his new commandment. I promise to each of you that if you do even just small and simple acts of kindness you can always feel the love of Christ. I love each and every one of you and I'm so grateful for all of you! I hope you all stay safe and have a fantastic week!
