It's The Busiest Time of the Year!

Oh how this week has been busy but fun! We had zone conference on Thursday and had an awesome time with President and Sister Okuda. We were also able to go caroling to some of the people we are teaching and we made them cookies. We also got to watch the polar express so that was cool.

One of the most awesome experiences I had this week was on Christmas Eve. A friend of ours who we have been teaching got baptized and my companion was able to baptize her. It was super sweet and really special that she could get baptized on Christmas eve. What made it even better is I got to confirm her a member the next day at church (which happened to be Christmas day). It felt so good when I saw her crying and smiling after I confirmed her. I believe she got the greatest Christmas present of all, The Holy Ghost!

Finally Christmas day was awesome because we all had dinner as a district and we watched the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. I am so grateful for the birth of our savior Jesus Christ and I hope all of us can remember him in our lives and in all that we do and say.

I love you all and I hope you have a wonderful New Year's!

Christmas in Saipan

This week has been very busy. We have been teaching a ton of people. However, I have really felt strongly the joy that comes from sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

This week we had a ward Christmas party and all of the missionaries in our district put on an epic dance performance to the best Christmas song ever, Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You".

The other day we had a lesson with one of our investigators named Marline. It was probably one of the best lessons we have had in a while because she had read the chapters in the Book of Mormon we asked her to and she took notes and analyzed the verses. We were super proud of her for being so proactive and we barely had to explain anything because she understood or already knew about a lot of the things, we taught so that was really cool.

This week is Christmas on Sunday and I just want to invite everyone to try their best this time of year to light the world and always remember Christ. I love this gospel so much and I love being able to be a missionary and share it with everyone.

I love you all and I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Feasting on the words of Christ...and lots of Food!

 Hello there again!

This week has been very crazy. From half our district getting sick to me and my companion getting fed a ton in one day. The members here love to feed the missionaries. I love food but I don't think enough to eat 4 dinners worth.

This week my companion and I were able to put someone on date for baptism on Christmas eve! We are so excited that they are making this decision. My companions' b-day was this week, so we went to a Korean barbecue. We also went to Mt. Tapachao which is the highest point in Saipan.

Yesterday we were able to share a message about Christ and the true meaning of Christmas with some friends of ours. It was awesome to hear about the joy they felt from remembering Christ during this time of year. I hope all of us can remember Christ this season as well as throughout our lives. Embrace him and let him into your life and I promise that if you do that you will see the blessings come.

I love each and every one of you and I hope you all have a great week and try to be kind to everyone always!

Saipan and Stray Dogs

Hello Po

This has been my first week in Micronesia. It has been a roller coaster from crazy long flights to crazy stray dogs everywhere here haha. I was assigned to the island of Saipan which is just north of Guam in the Northern Marianas Islands. My companion and trainer, Elder Ludovico, is super friendly and very funny. In our area almost everyone is Filipino and speaks Tagalog, so I guess I'm learning Tagalog now!

We are having a baptism on Dec 6th so that's super cool. We have been teaching tons of people and they are all really nice. The members here are very sweet and LOVE to feed us. I have eaten more in just a few days here than I have my whole life! The weirdest thing I've tried so far is balut which is a half-boiled duck egg. It was quite the experience to say the least. As well as balut, I've had squid, pig's lungs, geese heart. So, all the good stuff.

I was able to go sightseeing with my district on P-day so that was super fun. I am enjoying Saipan so far and I can't wait to meet more people and share the gospel with them. Before I end this email because it's already pretty long I wanna share a scripture that I love and think everyone should read. It's Moroni 10:3-5.

This scripture is truly powerful and will help you to pray if the Book of Mormon is true to you. I know it is and I love this church and all of you! Have a fantastic week everyone
