An interesting week for sure

 Kaselehlie Maing Ko

Unfortunately, my comp injured his ankle this week, so we were stuck inside for 3 days unable to go out and walk around. So, this week was definitely slower and not much happened. He's doing better now though.

However, even though we didn't get to do much proselytizing we were able to exercise our priesthood. On Tuesday we helped give a blessing to a returned missionary's baby who was sick. It was really cool because we were there at the right time and place to help when he came and asked us. Super cool miracle and shows how Heavenly Father puts you in the right place at the right time. Along with that blessing, we got to give 2 other blessings to different people.

We also did a ton of studying when we were inside, and we fully memorized the first vision in Pohnpeian so that was fun. Church was good. We had a really awesome Sunday school class where one of the members shared a powerful testimony of the plan of salvation. It was really cool to hear.

That's basically the week. We just keep doing our thing out here in helping bring the restored gospel to all. Hope everyone has a fun & safe Halloween, and an awesome week! Poakpoake kumwail koaros!

Crazy busy week

 Kaselehlie Maing Ko!

This week was super busy, crazy, fun, all of the above. Here's a just a few things that happened this week to save this email from being too long.

• Had zone conference (pretty epic)
• Gave a talk in sacrament (In Pohnpeian of course)
• Talked with some drunk people this week
• Helped cut some bushes for our friend
• Confirmed someone after baptism (Also in Pohnpeian)

So, yea as you can see a lot happened this week. We also went finding with one of our recent converts and the first Lady we met was this old Seventh-day Adventist. Immediately she just wanted to bible bash with us, and we couldn't even have a normal conversation with her. I definitely lost some brain cells after that encounter. It's all good though cause she gave us some coconuts before we left so we stayed hydrated.

Other than that, we got some good walking in this week, and we made sure to stay extra sweaty because of the heat. The weather in Pohnpei now is really starting to warm up so we've been getting way more exhausted from walking in the heat.

Besides that, though, we have met some amazing people. We met this older guy just walking on the road and we stopped to talk with him. His name is Marino and we found out he is catholic, and he was a little confused about Joseph Smith. So, I immediately started to share a little about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I don't know how I was able to do this, the only explanation is the spirit helped me because I suck at teaching the restoration, especially in Pohnpeian. After that, we gave him a Pohnpeian BoM and he said he would read it. He also gave us coconuts after. People really like giving us coconuts for some reason.

Anyway, that was just one of the many small miracles I experienced this week. I know that the Lord's hand is in my life every day and I know he is aware of you all as well.

I poakpoake kumwail! Have a great week!

Just enjoyin' the work

 Kaselehlie Maing Ko!

It's ya boy. Me. Elder Eubanks. Back to fill you in on another exciting week here in the island of paradise. This week we are still walking, surprise! It was a little rainy this week so for a few days we got caught in the rain, so we ended up walking home at the end of the night drenched. Besides that, though we had a really fun week.

We went on exchanges again and I went to Kitti (Kih-chi) with one of the zone leaders. It was an awesome experience and we ended up putting someone on date in their area, so I'd say it was pretty successful.

We helped our stake president hand deliver a letter to one of the high up government officials here. He was a super nice guy; his title is Iso Nahnken and I have no idea what it means but I know he is like a chief of the Nett municipality. There are 5 municipalities in Pohnpei. So, we got to feel all "official" for about 30 minutes so that was funny.

Other than all that we have just been enjoying the missionary work and loving and serving the people. I'm super blessed and grateful to be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm also super thankful for the love and support from everyone of y'all!

Have a fantastic week and remember to think celestial! I poakpoake emenemen kumwail!

A Birthday & a Rainstorm

 Kaselehlie Maing koaros!

I'm now 20 years old. It's kinda weird to say that. I definitely don't feel 20. So, yea I'm officially adulting now. Anyways, besides that, this week was good. We went on exchanges so that's always fun.

We got caught in a downpour of rain on Friday and it was my comp's bday as well (his is a day before mine). It was fun getting drenched and people saying we're gonna get sick.

Apart from that nothing else too major happened, just steadily pressing forward on the Lord's errand on the isles of the sea. Next week is our zone conference so that'll be cool. I didn't take too many pics (or at least interesting ones) so I'll just leave y'all with a quote from this recent general conference.

"Don’t miss Jesus and his blessings by looking beyond the mark"- Elder Renland

Remember to always focus on what really matters or the mark, which is Jesus. I love y'all and hope everyone has a great week!

Bout that time again

Yess it's me the Elder Eubanks back to catch yall up on another week here in beautiful Pohnpei!

We are in a new area now and we have been walking a bunch cause we don't have a car at the moment. We carry little walking sticks around and swing em at the dogs when they act up. We also had a baptism this week for our friend JJ. He is super awesome and his testimony is so strong!

We had the chance to meet some cool people as we were walking around so that was fun. On Sunday we watched General Conference Saturday sessions, and it was really awesome. So many spiritual insights & witnesses from the Lord's servants.

Other than all that today for pday we played ping pong and chilled. I am super grateful for general conference and the blessings and answers that can come from the messages.

As always I poakpoake kumwail and stay blessed fam!
