Nanpohn-paul

Haha I got transferred and the area I'm going to is called Nanpohnmal but I'm calling it Nanpohn-paul haha. I'm sad to leave Nett but it is that time.

This week was dope. We had a lot of fun lessons and some last-minute exchanges. The area I'm going to is a biking area so that's gonna be heck fun except for the dogs. The Elders said to just bring a stick or pipe around to wack them, so I'll keep that in mind.  Also, when I got to this area, the local school had requested missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ to help with their spelling bee!  So, I got to be a judge on their English spelling skills which were pretty good!  It was a fun experience and glad I was able to remember some English haha

I'm still district leader, I'm going on 5 transfers as district leader, so I guess I'm doing something right. Other than that, I'm ready to get to the grind and get to work. Hoorah for Isreal!

It was one of the weeks for sure

Lehlie maing ko

This week was definitely a week for sure. We had zone conference, and it was good except for it being so dry and hot that it was hard to focus during the days. Luckily through the latter part of the week the rain came so that was nice and much needed.

As I said before Pohnpei has been in a drought lately and it's been pretty tough for the people here, but we've been blessed with some heavy rainfall recently, so things are looking up for sure.

As for this week, we had a normal week. We met some cool people and had a few lessons here and there. A lot of our lessons actually didn't happen because there were like 4 funerals happening in or around our area so that was an L.

Besides that, we had a pretty good week. We had one of our progressing friends come to church for the second week now so that was freaking awesome. This next week is the last week of the transfer, so I'll see what judgment day has to bring.

As always love y'all and hope everyone has a great week.

Drier than a raisin out here

 Kaselehlie Maing Ko

We dryin up out here for real for real. This week has been crazy because we have like no water, so we are staying with 5 other Elders who have water at their house. So that's been fun.

We had a fun week. We met lots of interesting people this week, a fair amount of them were catholic and very devout ones. One lady said to us "please don't go around destroying the Catholics and making people join the Mormons". That was an interesting experience to say the least. Very kind lady though it was strange because she was super nice but said that, so I was confused.  This week was totally like living a modern-day version of the movie "Other Side of Heaven" with droughts and angry members of another religion haha!

Anyways that's about it for this week, we have zone conference coming up and hopefully we get water back consistently. I poakpoake kumwail and have a great week!

nuff said.

This week was dope. Nuff said. We found lots of people this week and we were able to take some members and YSA around with us so that was awesome.

We also helped our friend JJ build a bathroom for his uncle. We went on exchanges this week so that was super fun as well. We basically had a blast this week to sum it up.

Today for pday we had a district picnic where we roasted s'mores and hotdogs so that was super fun. I hope everyone had a great new years. I love you all. Keep being wonderful people!

2024 and more...

Kaselehlie Maing koaros & happy new year!

It's officially 2024 and that means I come home this year. It's crazy that it's going by so fast. Honestly, I'm gonna miss all of this when it's over but the memories and people will always be with me.

To start off the week we got a... flat tire! Haha, we rolled over an arrowhead or spear tip thing it was so wack. Makes for a fun story though. That was cool. We also went on exchanges this week so that was dope. Honestly this week was a bit of an L (meaning it was kinda lame) because lots of our lessons and contacts fell through. So many people were partying and drinking for after Christmas and new year's.

It's all good because the members fed us a decent amount, so it worked out. One last thing that was awesome was our bishop and his family went to the temple on Guam to get sealed. I am so happy for them, and I know they are so grateful for the ability they had to do that.

That's it for now. Have a thrilling 2024 and do sum cool. I poakpoake kumwail!
