Fishin' and Flat Tires

 Kaselehlie Maing Ko!

It's me again! Your favorite island boy! This week has been very eventful. We had a ton of service with a lot of different people, and we had all sorts of food. We helped one of our friends husk coconuts and cook bananas in the coconut oil. Later we tried a pig that he put in an uhm (which is basically an underground oven covered by banana leaves) so that was really cool. We also went spear fishing with some other friends of ours and we caught and cooked freshwater shrimp. They were the best shrimp I have ever had!

We also saw some dude climbing a coconut tree and he chopped the leaves off with a machete so that's fun. We were also able to help remove old tiles in the seminary room at the high school. I went on an exchange this week and some BYU-Hawaii administrators came and gave a youth fireside and talked about the school a little so that was an awesome experience.

We blew a Tire on the way to one of our lessons so now we are borrowing an older car and it has no A/C so that's epic. We are really living that island life now haha! We went on a hike with the mission president today because they are here for zone conference this week, and it was really fun. Overall, this week has been a roller-coaster, but it has had its little moments that have made it worth it.

I love y'all and I hope y'all have an amazing week. Kalangahn en kumwail!

Check out this huge frog I caught from outside our house.  There are a bunch of them just chillin' in the grass
Also, this is "Joseph Smith's First Prayer" in the Pohnpeian hymnbook!
